To describe the following body mechanics: push, pull, stooping, and carrying
To describe logrolling and specify its importance
To identify the reasons for logrolling a client and to describe the pre-procedure, procedure, and post-procedure steps of logrolling a client
To describe the steps of pulling a client up in bed
To list prerequisite(s) for using a gait belt and to recount how to properly ambulate a client using a gait belt
To describe the reasons a client may dangle on the side of the bed and to describe how to prepare for transferring a client and equipment required
To describe the steps of transferring clients from bed to chair or wheelchair
To identify the following mobility equipment/devices and specify their use(s): bariatric bed, lifts, trapeze, slide board, mattress overlays, hover mat, client steady, reclining chairs, wheelchairs, crutches, and canes
Methods of Education to Achieve the Objectives
Every video has specific objectives to be achieved
Initially , participant will have pre-test as a part of assessment steps
Participant will watch videos accompanied by images, pdf files , figures or diagrams. At the end , participant must pass post-test to get certification of completion. Participant must follow the learning path in the platform
