The Main Learning Objectives

To recognize look-alike-sound-alike (LASA) drugs that are most likely to be encountered in clinical practice

To state why anti-thrombotics are used in clinical practice and identify conditions that require treatment with anti-thrombotic medications

To name 3 neuromuscular blocking agents, explain their effect on the respiratory system, and state why they are considered high-alert medications

To recognize the risk of hypoglycemia that results from medication errors such as inappropriate dose or the wrong type or amount of insulin administered by intravenous (IV) or subcutaneous routes

To specify the types of adverse drug reactions in pregnancy and the effect on the fetus and the mother

To recognize the 2 categories of birth defects

To list 4 gross malformations due to birth defects during fetal development

To identify the 2 major categories of exceptions to the Pregnancy and Lactation Labeling Final Rule (PLLR)

To tell the physiologic changes in cardiovascular system, respiratory and renal system, and gastrointestinal system during pregnancy

Methods of Education to Achieve the Objectives

Every video has specific objectives to be achieved

Initially , participant will have  pre-test as a part of assessment steps

Participant will watch videos accompanied by  images, pdf files , figures or diagrams. At the end , participant must pass post-test to get certification of completion. Participant must follow the learning path in the platform
