Introduction for Aging Process
Introduction for Aging Process
The Main Learning Objectives
To recognize the cellular aging and genomic instability
To define mitochondrial dysfunction and telomere attrition
To describe how histone modifications can regulate the transcription of genes ( epigenetic alterations and loss of proteostasis )
To describe how deregulated nutrient sensing leads to aging and to define cellular senescence and state the purpose of this mechanism
To list the factors that promote cellular senescence as a cell ages
To list organ systems that are most affected by stem cell exhaustion
To list the pathologic changes that present within the brain of a patient with Alzheimer’s disease
To list potential causes of dementia that are not related to Alzheimer’s disease
To define Parkinson’s disease and list signs and symptoms of this condition
To state which protein is mutated in Huntington’s disease and describe the genetic mutation and discuss the treatment of Huntington's Disease
Methods of Education to Achieve the Objectives
Every video has specific objectives to be achieved
Initially , participant will have pre-test as a part of assessment steps
Participant will watch videos accompanied by images, pdf files , figures or diagrams. At the end , participant must pass post-test to get certification of completion. Participant must follow the learning path in the platform
Evaluation of Scientific Activity by the Participants
By evaluation form after completing course , it will be send to participants. It is an important to know that it will be mandatory to get certification
