To describe the approach to the clinical interview when recording psychiatric history & the components of the mental status examination
To list 7 types of histories, important questions of the presenting illness, past psychiatric history, substance abuse, past medical/surgical history and the family history
To describe the importance of the mental status examination, including behavior and appearance, speech, mood/affect, in the mental status examination
To define suicide and list its risk factors, and epidemiology of suicide and to list the protective factors for suicide
To describe the diagnostic classification systems that help create a broad differential diagnosis for a psychiatric patient (DSM-5 and ICD-10)
To discuss behavioral therapy, learning theory and explain the different types, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, supportive psychotherapy and group therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) family therapy and marital therapy in details
Methods of Education to Achieve the Objectives
Every video has specific objectives to be achieved
Initially , participant will have pre-test as a part of assessment steps
Participant will watch videos accompanied by images, pdf files , figures or diagrams. At the end , participant must pass post-test to get certification of completion. Participant must follow the learning path in the platform
