To explain why it is important to assess the patient's perception before delivering serious news

To discuss strategies to learn how much information the patient wishes to receive

To discuss the rationale for providing silence during a serious news discussion

To recall ways to validate a patient's emotion with an empathic response

To discuss reasons to establish goals of care : ( why, who, what, where, when, how )

To describe 6 elements commonly contained within advance care planning & to discuss the pros and cons of living wills

 

Methods of Education to Achieve the Objectives

Every video has specific objectives to be achieved

Initially , participant will have  pre-test as a part of assessment steps

Participant will watch videos accompanied by  images, pdf files , figures or diagrams. At the end , participant must pass post-test to get certification of completion. Participant must follow the learning path in the platform
